eGovlab chaired the eGovernment track of the 2016 IST-Africa;

eGovlab chaired the eGovernment track of the 2016 IST-Africa; an annual series of Ministerial Level Technology Research Conferences, supported by the European Commission (EC) and African Union Commission (AUC). The conference focused on Information Society and ICT Policy Dialogues, International Development and Research Cooperation and Community Building with participants leading public, private, education and research organisations from 50 countries to discuss policy and share insight.

Drones are to begin transporting vaccines, blood and serum to remote clinics in rural Rwanda. When the project starts it is expected to cut delivery times from several hours to 30 minutes. The program is the first of its kind on a national level in Rwanda.

Ground Truth 2.0 - Environmental knowledge discovery of human sensed data

Description: Ground Truth 2.0 delivers the demonstration and validation of six scaled up citizen observatories in real operational conditions both in the EU and in Africa. It will strengthen the full feedback-loop in the information chain from citizen-based data collection to knowledge sharing for joint decision-making and cooperative planning.

Bosnian government delegation completes study visit to eGovlab

An 8-member delegation from the Bosnian government has concluded its study visit to eGovlab, DSV, Stockholm University. During the three-day visit, the delegation was briefed on open innovation, co-creation and Sweden’s Digital Strategy. A series of presentations, as well as a hands-on workshop, took place at eGovlab, where the participants identified challenges within their public sector in local context.
