eGovlab organized an informal meeting - Nordic Workshop

Since many years the Nordic countries have a legal, administrative and technical collaboration on civil registration. Among other things the registries share personal data when a citizen is migrating between the Nordic countries. The European Large Scale Pilots STORK, STORK 2.0 and e-SENS have elaborated on registry matching solutions when a citizen in one country uses an eGov service in another country. Implementation of the eIDAS platform is now being planned for in Europe.

Within the framework of the Upside project, eGovlab and Interactive Institute held a workshop during the Futur-en-Seine festival in Paris. The aim of the workshop was to explore solutions for a challenge in the area of e-health through participatory research and design activities.

Drones are to begin transporting vaccines, blood and serum to remote clinics in rural Rwanda. When the project starts it is expected to cut delivery times from several hours to 30 minutes. The program is the first of its kind on a national level in Rwanda.

eGovlab chaired the eGovernment track of the 2016 IST-Africa;

eGovlab chaired the eGovernment track of the 2016 IST-Africa; an annual series of Ministerial Level Technology Research Conferences, supported by the European Commission (EC) and African Union Commission (AUC). The conference focused on Information Society and ICT Policy Dialogues, International Development and Research Cooperation and Community Building with participants leading public, private, education and research organisations from 50 countries to discuss policy and share insight.
